Our flight to Manila wasn't until about 3pm, so we spent a leisurely morning walking around our hotel in Cebu to places we hadn't had a chance to visit yet.
About half a mile from our hotel was the Provincial Capitol building. So we walked around there to see the grounds and statues.

We took a few pictures to show the different types of Jeepney's available around the area. These were originally Jeeps brought over by the Americans during WWII and left behind. Filipinos extended the body to make them more bus-like and painted them in a variety of colors. They are a very cheap way for locals to get around town.

You cannot tell from this picture but the taller hotel in the back has a ride on the top. Actually it has the Edge Coaster and also a zip-line that runs from the hotel (Crown Regency Hotel) to another building making the zip-line 473 feet high. We did not make it over to this hotel but could see it from our hotel in Cebu.

By the time we got to our hotel in Manila it was already 5pm. So we just found a nearby restaurant for dinner since it was already getting dark and we couldn't really do much exploring. We ended up going to a place called the Cowboy Cafe which was really large and empty when we got there. Turns out it is popular for concerts and we were there for the band She. Keep in mind this is Thanksgiving day and of course there is no turkey available in the resturant. One of our dishes we ate that night was squid balls (see pic). They were very tasty!! It's basically squid meat ground up, battered, and fried. We also had chicken skewers and beef tenderloin. Definitely a different Thanksgiving feast!

It was definitely an interesting Thanksgiving day. We were ready for sleep though and needed to rest up for our big day of exploration the next day.
WOW I bet that zip line was tempting.
