Smiles and Laughter

Not a whole lot to report but more pictures and videos of Gavin. We got him laughing a couple times. He is definitely more curious about his surroundings and it has become more dangerous for me to eat while he is breastfeeding! Now he grabs for my fork or glass or whatever is nearby. He is very curious about what we are eating and is easily distracted from nursing.
Very spiffy!

Gavin is definitely babbling a lot more and laughs a lot more also!! Here are a couple videos of him laughing and babbling.

Four Months Old!

Gavin is now four months old and right on track with his growing!! As you can see from the pictures, he REALLY enjoys chewing on his starfish that hangs from the toy bar in his pack n play. Lots of drooling goes along with the chewing. If he doesn't have his starfish within reach, then a burp cloth also does the trick!

We recently purchased a convertible crib for him which Carlton was home to put together this past weekend!! We don't need to use it yet but wanted to get it up while we had Daddy home!

At his doctor's appointment last week he weighed in at 13 pounds and 9 ounces! So he has now doubled his birth weight!! He is also 25 inches long now.

He was sleeping up to six hours at night but then last week he went through a growth spurt and that long stretch of sleep shrunk back to about 2.5 hours! He is slowly increasing his sleep at night again (Thankfully!).
He has no trouble reaching for the toys on the toy bar of his pack n play. He is doing much better at staying on his forearms when he is on his tummy and he really looks like he wants to crawl but hasn't figured out how. Here's a video of some tummy time so you can see how he's doing!

Singapore Architecture

Singapore has very interesting buildings and I guess a lot of the architects try to create the buildings with a Feng Shui approach. We took several photos of various buildings we saw during our vacation, so this is more for anyone interested in foreign architecture! :-)

A lot of the high rises have "holes" in the middle of the building where there is an atrium of sorts. You can see trees growing in it or they have a garden set up. It was great to see all the different styles!!

Singapore Day Seven!

Our last full day in Singapore was spent moving from our Air BnB to a hotel in the downtown area. We wanted to be able to walk around downtown at night without the commute back to the Air BnB. We also wanted to have a large bed to sleep in for a change. The Air BnB had a full size bed which meant Carlton feet were hanging out of bed!! So for our last night we were able to sleep in a King Sized bed and it was much more comfortable!
We walked around downtown a lot and discovered there were river otters in the Singapore river. We also took some nighttime pictures of the downtown area to have a different picture of the waterfront areas. It was definitely pretty at night. Most of the buildings have different colored lights for visual appeal.

Gavin received a cute pair of baby shoes before he was born from our friend Sarah who took our maternity photos! This was the first time I put them on Gavin and his expression was just priceless!
